Operations Executive (Hospital Background) Job DescriptionJob Title Operations Executive Department Hospital Operations / Administration Reports To Operations Manager / Hospital Administrator Job Summary The Operations Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational activities of the hospital, ensuring smooth coordination across departments, maintaining service quality, and improving operational efficiency. The role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of hospital processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily hospital operations to ensure efficient patient care and service delivery. Monitor patient flow, admissions, discharges, and departmental coordination. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, diagnostic departments, pharmacy, housekeeping, and support services. Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics. Resolve patient concerns and escalate issues when necessary. Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Monitor inventory and coordinate with procurement for medical and non-medical supplies. Support accreditation activities such as NABH or JCI, audits, and quality initiatives. Ensure timely maintenance of hospital equipment and facilities through coordination with relevant teams. Assist in staff scheduling and operational resource planning. Maintain accurate documentation and operational records. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree (MHA/MBA Healthcare) is preferred. 25 years of experience in hospital operations or healthcare administration. Knowledge of hospital information systems (HIS) and healthcare workflows. Familiarity with NABH/JCI standards is an advantage. Required Skills Strong operational and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to analyze operational data and prepare reports. Time management and multitasking capabilities. Team coordination and leadership skills. Resource utilization and cost optimization. Preferred Experience Experience in multispecialty hospitals, diagnostic centers, or healthcare organizations. Exposure to quality management systems, hospital operations, and patient experience initiatives.
