Job Description: Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for our IAM platform Collaborate with product managers, other software engineers, and security experts to build product features Develop and maintain Access Intelligence features Develop and maintain identity lifecycle management features Implement logging, monitoring, and auditing capabilities Continuously optimize and improve the performance, security, and scalability of the IAM platform Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in identity and access management Requirements: Proven 4+ years in backend software development Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Golang, Java Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, standards, and best practices Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and distributed systems Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
