Job requirements In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our People practices align with compliance standards, legal requirements, and regulatory frameworks in UK, India, USA and Portugal, playing a crucial part in safeguarding the organisation's reputation and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Global lead, you will be supporting in the following areas: 1. Global Compliance support: Develop, implement, and maintain global People compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks within People processes and policies. 2. Legal and Regulatory support: Working with the country business partners, make sure you are abreast of all legal and regulatory developments affecting People practices within the financial services industry and are able to guide the changes required in the people policies and practices. 3. Policy Development and Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create, update, and communicate People policies and procedures that align with legal and regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions. Ensure that People policies are consistently applied and compliant with local and international laws. Cover our important processes and procedures to ensure that we have 4. Training and Education: In partnership with SMEs and BPs, develop and deliver training programs for People team members to enhance their understanding of legal and regulatory compliance requirements. Foster a culture of compliance awareness and accountability 5. Investigations and Resolutions: Support People investigations related to compliance matters, working closely with legal and other relevant stakeholders. Propose and implement corrective actions to address identified compliance issues. 6. Liaising with internal legal team and continuously updating your own external legal and regulatory knowledge: Liaise with internal Legal Function, any approved external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to stay informed about changes in the legal landscape in the territories Aptia operates in, and potential impacts on People practices. Collaborate with internal departments, including Legal, Finance and IT, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to various compliance requirements. 7. Audit : Support the People team audits, both internal and external Maintain and track closures of any audit findings with the support of the People Support Team Work with the People Team to ensure that processes, policies and documents are audit ready at all times 8. Risk : Risk management of People operational risks from identification through to assessment, treatment, reporting and closure Partner with key stakeholders within the People team, enabling functions and the business Essentials: An experienced Manager who can interpret, communicate, and manage the delivery of complex information in a confident, simple manner. Effective cross-functional project management skills. Proficient at communicating, influencing, coaching, educating, challenging, and managing senior stakeholders. Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing, and global environment. A team player with an ability to work collaboratively. Attention to detail and ability to identify potential compliance issues. An expert in logical/critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Confident and comfortable to work under pressure managing a number of tasks .
