Job Description: Job Title: Research Head Location: Mumbai Experience (Overall): 8+ Years Industry: Capital Markets / Equity Research Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Research Head to lead the Equity Research function. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and overseeing the research strategy, managing a team of analysts, delivering high-quality investment insights, and supporting business growth through actionable research recommendations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Research Strategy & Leadership: - Define and implement the overall research strategy aligned with business objectives. - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of research analysts across sectors and market segments. - Establish research methodologies, frameworks, and quality standards to ensure high-quality research output. - Drive innovation in research processes, tools, and analytical models. 2. Equity & Market Research: - Oversee fundamental and technical research coverage across listed companies and sectors. - Generate high-conviction investment ideas supported by detailed financial and industry analysis. - Monitor macroeconomic developments, industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics. - Prepare and review thematic reports, sector reports, initiation reports, earnings reviews, and market outlook reports. - Provide strategic investment recommendations for clients and stakeholders. - Represent the research function in client meetings, webinars, conferences, and industry interactions. 3. Client & Business Support: - Represent the research function in client meetings, webinars, conferences, and industry interactions. - Support business teams through actionable market insights and investment recommendations. - Engage with institutional investors, HNIs, and key stakeholders to discuss market outlook and investment opportunities. - Conduct investor education sessions, webinars, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. 4. Team Management & Development: - Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of research analysts. - Allocate sector responsibilities and ensure timely delivery of research reports. - Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and analytical excellence. - Conduct regular review meetings to assess research quality and analyst performance. 5. Risk Management & Compliance: - Ensure compliance with applicable research regulations and internal governance policies. - Maintain the highest standards of research integrity, objectivity, and ethical conduct. - Monitor research processes to ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements. - Review research publications before dissemination. 6. Stakeholder Management: - Collaborate closely with Sales, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Investment Banking, and other business teams. - Present research findings and market outlook to senior management. - Build relationships with company management teams, industry experts, institutional investors, and market participants. Education & Qualifications: - MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent qualification. - SEBI Research Analyst Registration/Certification preferred. - Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise preferred. Experience: - 8+ years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Research, Asset Management, Institutional Research, or Capital Markets. - Minimum 3 years of experience managing and leading research teams. - Strong track record in stock selection, sector analysis, and investment recommendations. - Experience interacting with institutional investors, HNIs, and senior corporate management teams. .
