Our clients include Tata Electronics, Foxconn, Dixon, Wistron and 60+ others building India's electronics manufacturing future. Beyond instruments, we supply the full stack a production floor needs cables, ESD, MRO, power and labelling across eight product categories from one accountable team in Chennai. This role owns five of eFocus's eight product categories - SMT & Rework, Tools & MRO, ESD & RF, Workstation Storage, and Labelling & Identification. If a production line in Chennai, Sriperumbudur or Oragadam is running, chances are something you sourced is on that floor. This is a high-frequency, high-SKU role with real vendor ownership and a direct line to our biggest accounts. W H Y T H I S R O L E E X I S T S eFocus has been sourcing production consumables reactively - sales raises a need, someone finds a vendor. We are now building a category owner who proactively manages the supply base, knows pricing before a customer asks, and can identify a new product line opportunity before a competitor does. This person will be the single point of accountability for five categories covering solder wire to ESD coats to FIFO labels. W H A T Y O U W I L L O W N Your category covers the following product families you are expected to know these well enough to quote, source and spec them without hand-holding: SMT Consumables , solder wire, paste, flux, splice tape, stencil wipes, nozzle cleaning sticks Rework Systems & Tools ,hot air rework stations, SMD stations, soldering irons, desoldering tools, soldering tips Hand & Power Tools, screwdrivers, pliers, torque tools, crimping tools, wire strippers, pneumatic tools MRO Consumables cable ties, ferrules, heat shrink tubes, industrial tapes, fasteners ESD Control - wrist straps, heel grounders, gloves, finger cots, ESD bags, shielding bags, MBB bags, ESD coats ESD Test & Measurement - surface resistance meters, field meters, wrist strap testers, charge plate monitors, RF shield boxes Workstation & Floor Organisation ,PCB racks, solder reel stands, tool boards, storage bins, PCB stands Labelling & Identification , barcode labels, QC tags, FIFO labels, thermal ribbons, industrial label printers, RFID, barcode scanners K E Y R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S Own sourcing for 5 product categories identify, qualify and develop vendors for each sub-category Maintain a live vendor matrix with pricing benchmarks, lead times and MOQ data for your category Respond to RFQs from the sales team within 24 - 48 hours - no open quote should sit longer. Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery commitments directly with vendors and their Indian distributors Proactively identify new product lines that fit existing customer needs and bring product ideas to the table, not just vendor comparisons Track repeat-buy patterns across accounts (we will give you the data) and ensure stock is available before a customer asks Build relationships with key principals attend vendor days, product launches, and technical sessions Monitor delivery performance and resolve supply issues without escalation to leadership for standard cases Work with the sales team on customer-specific sourcing - if Foxconn needs a non-standard ESD bag spec, you find it Maintain clean PO records, delivery logs and vendor scorecards in the ERP W H A T W E A R E L O O K I N G F O R 3 to 5 years in sourcing or procurement, specifically within electronics manufacturing, EMS, or industrial distribution Hands-on knowledge of at least two of the product families listed above - you should be able to read a solder paste spec or identify an ESD wrist strap tester without Googling it An existing vendor network in Chennai or pan-India for SMT consumables, ESD, or MRO products Comfortable negotiating directly with distributors and principals - not just sending emails and waiting High follow-through - this role is only as good as the person's ability to close open loops without remindersProficiency in MS Excel and any ERP or procurement tool (Tally, SAP, Zoho or equivalent) N I C E T O H A V E Experience working at or buying from EMS companies like Foxconn, Flex, Salcomp, Dixon or their supply chain Knowledge of IPC standards or ESD certification requirements (IPC-A-610, ANSI/ESD S20.20) .
