Software Engineer, Assurant, GCC-India We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with 57 years of experience in Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, object-oriented programming, and AI-assisted software engineering practices. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications across frontend, backend, and cloud environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with architects, product owners, DevOps teams, and fellow developers within Agile or SAFe delivery models to build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while leveraging modern AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and software quality. Translate business requirements into technical designs, user stories, and development tasks. Develop secure and well-documented RESTful APIs and backend services using C# and .NET technologies. Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Contribute to microservices-based and event-driven architectures. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following coding standards and best practices. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning activities. Implement automated testing and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. Deploy and support applications on Azure cloud platforms. Follow secure SDLC practices, including authentication, authorization, secrets management, and secure coding standards. Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude for code generation, documentation, testing, and productivity improvements while validating outputs for quality and security. Mentor junior developers and actively participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives. What are the requirements needed for this position Strong hands-on experience with frontend technologies including React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Web Design, State Management (Redux, @context API), Accessibility, and Frontend Performance Optimization. Strong hands-on experience with backend technologies including .NET 6/7/8/9/10, C#, ASP.NET Core, REST API Development, Entity Framework Core, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Concepts, SOLID Principles, Asynchronous programming, Design Patterns, and Microservices Architecture. Experience developing and maintaining high-quality, testable, and maintainable code using unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest, along with mocking frameworks such as Moq. Strong focus on automated testing, code quality, code coverage and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices to ensure robust and reliable software delivery. Experience working with databases including SQL Server, Database Design, Performance Tuning, Entity Framework Core, and NoSQL databases such as Azure Cosmos DB. Experience with Cloud and DevOps technologies including Microsoft Azure (preferred) or AWS, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus/Event-Driven Services, Azure Key Vault, Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), CI/CD Pipelines, and Git-based Source Control and Branching Strategies. Good understanding and practical experience in Secure Coding Practices, Authentication, and Authorization mechanisms. Experience leveraging AI-Assisted Engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar AI development tools for software development, testing, code generation, documentation, and AI output validation, while ensuring responsible and secure AI usage. What are the preferred requirements needed for this position Experience with Node.js services. Exposure to Kubernetes and container orchestration. Experience with monitoring and observability tools. Strong understanding of and hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), including the design and implementation of scalable, loosely coupled, and distributed systems.
