## Medical Coding ### Role Overview We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Coding professional to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to one year of experience who hold a background in Biotechnology (BE/BSc). The selected candidate will be responsible for accurately translating medical diagnoses, procedures, and services into standardized codes used for billing, insurance, and healthcare record-keeping purposes. ### Key Responsibilities - Review and analyse clinical documentation to assign accurate medical codes (ICD, CPT, HCPCS) for diagnoses and procedures - Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, payer-specific requirements, and regulatory standards - Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing teams to resolve coding discrepancies or queries - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding updates, changes in medical terminology, and industry best practices - Audit coded data for accuracy and completeness before submission - Support the revenue cycle management process by ensuring timely and accurate code submissions - Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient health information ### Requirements / Qualifications - BE in Biotechnology or BSc in Biotechnology (or related life sciences discipline) - Zero to one year of experience in medical coding or a related healthcare field - Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems is an advantage - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills - Good written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment - Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is a plus but not mandatory ### About the Company GRD Achievers is a professional training and placement organization focused on bridging the gap between skilled graduates and industry opportunities in the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
