They are seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join a dedicated project team that will implement a new suite of insurance software, focusing on designing and writing programs for automatic testing.ResponsibilitiesAbility to identify, write, and execute automation test cases from an inventory of functional test cases for large projects including integration and end-to-end test casesUnderstands business requirements by collaborating with the business analysts and software engineers to ensure consistent alignment and project directionRefine, plan, identify and escalate testing risks or impedimentsAbility to understand and complete industry testing standards and provide reporting metrics when applicableProvide input into issue resolution by performing root cause analysis on automation test resultsComplete tasks in a timely and professional manner and respond to users or team members in a timely and professional mannerEstablish trusting and credible relationships with Quality Assurance and Project team membersMaintain a positive and collaborative demeanorFollow Automation best practices in place for the Quality Assurance Automation areaIdentify opportunities for process improvementSkillsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in IT related field or equivalent combination of education/experienceKnowledge of the SDLC, business processes, and technical aspects of software solutionsKnowledge of agile methodologies and scrum framework3+ years of in-depth quality assurance experience2+ years of experience working with Katalon or another similar automation testing tool2+ years of experience working with ADO Test Plans or another similar inventory testing toolHighly motivated, organized, big-picture thinker and a self-starterProficient oral and written communication skillsSoftware development, quality management software experience, and collaboration tool(s) experienceHands on experience in working with SQL queriesHands on experience in automating RESTful API's testing (e.g Postman, Rest Assured, SOAP UI etc.)Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plusCompany OverviewSECURA Insurance is a mutual insurance company.
