Role & responsibilities 1. Manage end-to-end procurement of domestic and imported materials to ensure uninterrupted production and customer deliveries 2. Handle domestic vendor management, including purchase order execution, delivery follow-up, commercial coordination, supplier performance monitoring, and issue resolution. 3. lan and execute purchase orders based on production schedules, inventory levels, MRP, and business requirements. 4. Review supplier production capacity against forecasted demand and identify potential supply constraints. 5. Coordinate closely with Production Planning, Stores, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure smooth material flow and on-time production. 6. Manage import procurement activities, including purchase order follow-up, shipment tracking, documentation, customs clearance, and inbound logistics 7. Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and Customs House Agents (CHA) for timely import clearance and delivery. 8. Obtain freight quotations, evaluate logistics costs, and finalize cost-effective transportation solutions. 9. Obtain and verify statutory documents required for imports, including NOCs, declaration letters, MSDS, certificates, and regulatory approvals. 10. Prepare and verify import/export documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin, Insurance documents, and customs documentation. 11. Analyse procurement spend, logistics costs, supplier performance, and supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency. 12. Prepare procurement MIS reports, inventory reports, logistics cost analysis, import/export status reports, KPI dashboards, and management reports. 13. Monitor key supply chain KPIs, including supplier on-time delivery, purchase cycle time, inventory accuracy, material availability, logistics performance, lead time, and cost savings. 14. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, import/export regulations, customs requirements, ISO/IATF standards, statutory regulations, and internal audit requirements. 15. Lead and mentor the procurement and supply chain team to achieve departmental objectives and improve operational efficiency. .
