Senior Architect

Senior Architect We are searching for an experienced senior architect to oversee the company's new construction projects. As the senior architect, you will mentor other Architects, interpret client briefs, and review contracts and designs. You should have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of CAD software, and the ability to handle negative feedback. To be successful as a senior architect, you should display great interpersonal skills and be able to relay important information. An outstanding Senior Architect should also be open to criticism and learning opportunities. Skills, Professionally qualified, ARB registered Architect, with relevant degree (or equivalent), plus post qualification experience. Member of ARB, and other Professional bodies such as RIBA. Developed track record in Architectural design and delivery within sectors relevant to Buttress. Developed experience of working in different operational areas, for a range of clients and service users. Ability to lead the organisation, guidance and leadership of multi-disciplinary design teams. Ability to provide effective support to implement and deliver effective change. Strong demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrable knowledge of the application, principles, theory and practice of Architectural design and delivery. Strong understanding of other building and engineering related disciplines or requirements of these in the effective design, co-ordination and delivery of projects. Strong ability to apply technical judgement to ensure projects are compliant with design standards. Strong understanding of the Design and Construction business. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-up, Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office. Expert in some of these software packages. Proficient in CMAP and Newforma Responsibilities: Reviewing and designing architectural and engineering plans. Ensuring all plans are compliant with governmental health and safety regulations. Researching and maintaining knowledge of various engineering disciplines, application methods, and materials. Monitoring the work of other Architects and making recommendations or scheduling workshops as required. Providing guidance to subcontractors like builders, plumbers, and electricians, and helping them interpret design specifications. Liaising with clients to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner, and that project requirements are met. Ensuring the team works together to achieve set goals and targets. Acting as a mentor to new Architects and helping them fine-tune their design skills and improve their industry knowledge. Networking and consulting with various industry professionals.
