Learn more at www.believe.com Job Description As a Finance Reporting Operations Leader, you will lead Believe's Customer Reporting Operations for our Labels & Artists Solutions business. The position will be based in the Mumbai office and is part of the Finance Operations Department, reporting to the Head of Customer Finance Operations in Believe Mumbai office and functionally reporting to the Head of Customer Reporting team for Labels and Artists Solutions based in the France office. You will manage a team of Customer Reporting Specialists while ensuring the timely delivery of royalty reporting services, operational excellence, and high stakeholder satisfaction. As the team's technical reference, you will oversee complex investigations, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure operational risks are identified, communicated and resolved efficiently. Your role is critical in maintaining reliable reporting operations, supporting business growth and delivering a best-in-class customer experience. Key Responsibilities Reporting Operations Own the day-to-day Customer Reporting Operations and ensure service delivery meets defined SLAs. Prioritize and oversee the Reporting Jira backlog, ensuring operational visibility and timely resolution of requests. Monitor operational performance, identify risks early, and proactively escalate critical issues when required. Ensure no critical customer request or operational issue remains unattended. Technical Leadership Act as the technical reference for complex reporting investigations and royalty-related topics. Analyze financial calculations and reporting outputs to identify root causes and coordinate appropriate resolutions. Use SQL and internal reporting tools to investigate operational issues and support the team on complex cases. Ensure operational knowledge, investigations and procedures are properly documented and shared across the team. Team Leadership Lead, coach and develop a team of Reporting Specialists. Organize daily activities, set priorities and ensure balanced workload distribution. Review complex analyses and provide guidance to maintain a high level of quality and consistency. Foster a culture of ownership, technical expertise and continuous learning. Stakeholder Management Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders including Customer Care, Finance, Accounting, Revenue Ingestion, Payments and Product teams. Provide clear, timely and proactive communication on ongoing investigations, operational risks and customer-impacting issues. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure efficient resolution of operational incidents. Operational Excellence Ensure reporting processes are executed consistently and in accordance with defined standards. Drive high operational discipline through rigorous follow-up, documentation and process compliance. Contribute to reducing recurring operational issues by improving documentation and sharing best practices. Qualifications Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in Finance Operations, Reporting Operations or another operational environment involving complex processes. Previous experience managing and developing operational teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex operational issues. Good understanding of financial data and reporting processes. Strong proven skills on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (Google as well). Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY), willingness to further develop technical skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
