Position Title - IGCSE / IB DP Psychology Teacher (Part-Time) For an IB Continuum School IGCSE / IB Diploma Programme (DP) Psychology Teacher Part Time Role Summary The Psychology Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, inquiry-based and student-centered lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme (DP) Psychology curriculum. The teacher will foster critical thinking, research skills, ethical understanding, and real-world application of psychological concepts within an international learning environment. Key Responsibilities - Teach Psychology for IGCSE and/or IB DP (SL & HL) students Design lesson plans, assessments, assignments, and differentiated learning activitiesPrepare students for board examinations, internal assessments, and projectsPromote inquiry-based and concept-driven learning as per IB philosophySupport students in research methodology, case studies, and psychological investigationsMaintain student records, progress reports, and assessment documentationParticipate in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, PTMs, and school eventsIntegrate technology and global perspectives into classroom practicesEnsure a safe, inclusive, and academically stimulating classroom environmentCollaborate with coordinators and faculty members across the IB Continuum framework Pre-Requisites / Eligibility - Masters Degree / Post Graduation in Psychology (Mandatory)B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferredMinimum 25 years of teaching experience in IGCSE, Cambridge, or IB DP curriculumPrior experience teaching IB DP Psychology is highly preferredFamiliarity with IB Approaches to Teaching & Learning (ATL), TOK, CAS, and inquiry-based pedagogyStrong command over psychological theories, research methods, and assessment standardsExcellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skillsProficiency in spoken and written EnglishAbility to work collaboratively in an international and multicultural environmentIB Workshop Certification / IB Training will be an added advantage Desired Competencies - Student-centric and reflective teaching approachStrong planning and organizational skillsPassion for adolescent wellbeing and holistic educationCreativity in lesson delivery and experiential learningDigital literacy and comfort with educational technology platformsProfessional ethics and commitment to continuous learning Nature of Appointment - Part-Time (7.30AM to 2.30PM) - All Days Preferred Experience in an IB Continuum School Experience in schools offering combinations of PYP, MYP, IGCSE, and DP is advantageous, as students transition through inquiry-based and internationally benchmarked curricula. .
