We are seeking an experienced and strategic .NET & Azure AI Architect with solid expertise in enterprise application architecture, cloud-native development, and AI-driven solutions using Python. This role will focus on designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance healthcare applications for CareSource clinical systems, including prior authorization, care management, and utilization workflows. . Key Responsibilities Architect and design scalable, cloud-native applications using .NET and Azure AI services Lead the development of secure and compliant healthcare systems aligned with US healthcare standards Build and oversee RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET Core and Python (FastAPI or similar frameworks) Design data architecture and optimize performance using Azure SQL / Microsoft SQL Server Integrate AI/ML capabilities (Python-based) for clinical workflows such as document processing, decision support, or automation Define and enforce best practices for application architecture, coding standards, and performance optimization Collaborate with Product, Clinical SMEs, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions Drive cloud adoption strategies including Azure Functions, App Services, Service Bus, and API Management Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, interoperability standards, auditability) Lead troubleshooting of complex production issues and performance bottlenecks Mentor development teams and guide architectural decisions Required Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of experience in software development with strong architectural exposure Deep expertise in: Backend: C# .NET / .NET Core Cloud: Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL, API Management) Python: Experience with FastAPI and AI integrations Strong experience in designing microservices and distributed systems Expertise in REST API design, security (OAuth, JWT), and scalability patterns Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server / Azure SQL (data modeling, tuning, optimization) Experience in healthcare IT systems (prior authorization, care management, EHR integrations, or clinical workflows) Robust understanding of system design, performance engineering, and observability (logging, tracing) Experience working in Agile/Scrum settings .
