Role Summary As the RE Design Engineer-eBOP & Grid, you'll be a vital member of the Engineering Services team based in India. Your main focus will be providing Wind Plant design and Wind Resource Assessment and related support throughout the developmental and construction phases of our renewable energy projects across the portfolio. Job Responsibility Prepare design and review engineering drawings, calculations and documents to suit to project schedule related to Wind project.Review of electrical SLD, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for electric systems.Prepare various technical specifications, RFP, BOM and other engineering documents related to Wind project.Identification of Wind Potential Sites.Monitoring of wind mast installation and maintenance.Wind data monitoring, quality control and analysis.Development of wind monitoring campaign.Wind farm design, layout optimisation, energy prognosis and uncertainty analysis using wind flow softwares like WAsP, WindPRO, and Openwind.Conduct site visits whenever required.Review and liaison with vendors and consultants for meteorological mast installation, energy yield due diligence and power curve verification test.Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to wind energy.Perform other responsibilities as necessary to support the successful completion of projects. Functional skills & Job knowledge/experience Review WTG & USS related layout, Cable routing layout, equipment layout, Earthing, Lightning protection, & etc.Design & review of Equipment layouts, SLD/Schemes, General Arrangements of WTG, USS, TL & PSS areas.Good Knowledge on preparation of quantity estimation and BOM.Understanding and Preparation of technical specifications and review of tender specifications.Understanding of Sizing/selection of WTG, Converter, Protection Panel, Transformer, MV/LV switchgear Panel, Cable, Bus Bar/Duct, DG, UPS, etc.Understanding of Calculation of Cable sizing, system Fault current, Power loss, Earthing, Lightning protection system, Lighting/Illumination system.Understanding of Manufacturers/Vendor/Subcontractors Drawings & Documentations.Knowledge of wind energy principles, including wind turbine design, aerodynamics, and power generationFamiliar with industry-specific software, such as WindPRO or OpenWind, for wind farm layout design and energy yield analysis.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance with regulations and standards.Knowledge of environmental impact assessment processes and environmental regulations related to wind energy projects.Good knowledge of data analytics tools such as excel- based macros and python.Good communication and reporting skills.Familiar with Wind Engineering standards and guidelines IS, IEC andComputer literate with good knowledge of MS-office, AutoCAD and Google earth. Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical engineering from a recognized college/university.4-6 years' experience in wind electrical systems design (primary) and WRA (Secondary) .
