Secondary Mathematics Teacher - Full Time (1.0FTE) Reports to: College Principal / Deputy Principal (Secondary) EBA/Award: Dale Christian College employment agreement and/or the Educational Services (Teachers) Award Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent Dale Christian College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our K-12 College in a permanent ongoing role, commencing January 2027. The successful applicant will collaborate with the Mathematics and Science Learning Area Coordinator, the Dean of Curriculum & Students (Secondary) and the Deputy Principal (Secondary) to deliver high-quality education and support students in their academic journey, ensuring adherence to the school’s mission, vision, and code of conduct. About This Role: Mathematics Teacher | Full Time | Permanent Position | Commencing Term 1, 2027 The successful applicant will teach Mathematics across the Secondary School, with teaching allocations determined according to experience, qualifications and the needs of the College. The capability to teach Mathematics across Years 7–12 including WACE and ATAR Mathematics Applications and ATAR Mathematics Methods courses with experience in the ATAR courses highly regarded. This role is open to experienced teachers and recent graduates. Applicants must hold current teacher registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) or be eligible to obtain appropriate registration prior to commencement. Limited Registration may be considered where qualifications are deemed appropriate and in accordance with TRBWA requirements. The successful applicant will be relational, organised and purposeful, with strong mathematical and pedagogical knowledge, the ability to create a positive, well-managed and inclusive learning environment, and a willingness to contribute positively to the life and culture of the College. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics programs and lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum and, where applicable, School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) WACE course requirements. Assess, record and report on student achievement, providing timely and constructive feedback to support progress in mathematical understanding, fluency, reasoning and problem-solving. Use assessment data and evidence of student progress to identify learning needs, inform teaching and support improved student achievement. Use a range of evidence-informed teaching strategies, differentiation and appropriate digital technologies to meet diverse learning needs and build student confidence and engagement in Mathematics. Contribute to documented learning plans and reasonable adjustments for students with additional learning needs, where required. Work collaboratively with Mathematics colleagues, College leaders and support staff in programming, curriculum development, assessment design, moderation, resourcing, intervention and extension, and the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning. Participate fully in staff meetings, professional learning, classroom observation and reflective practice, College events, pastoral or Homeroom responsibilities, playground and relief duties, and other reasonable responsibilities associated with the role. Maintain accurate records and positive, professional communication with students, staff and families regarding student learning, progress and wellbeing. Selection Criteria Applicants must: Demonstrate a personal commitment to Christian education and a willingness to support the values, ethos and mission of Dale Christian College. Possess recognised and appropriate teaching qualifications suitable for teaching Secondary Mathematics in a Western Australian school. Hold current Teacher Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) or be eligible to obtain appropriate registration prior to commencement. Limited Registration may be considered where qualifications are appropriate. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Western Australian Mathematics curriculum and contemporary, evidence-informed pedagogy for Secondary students; experience teaching WACE and ATAR Mathematics courses will be highly regarded. Demonstrate strong skills in curriculum planning, explicit instruction, differentiation, classroom management, assessment, moderation, feedback and the use of student achievement data to inform teaching and support student progress. Work collaboratively as part of a Mathematics and Secondary teaching team, including contributing to programming, curriculum development, moderation, resourcing and a positive Christ-centred College community.
