Lead Educator Cherubs Early Learning Centre | Nerang Two centres. One family. We're looking for one more Educator. The Educator we're looking for You're the one the children run to at drop off. You notice the child who's gone quiet, and you know why. You can look at a room mid morning and read exactly what it needs. You've got the qualification, but that's not what makes you good at this. What makes you good at this is that you actually see children as capable, curious people, and you build a day around what they're showing you rather than what the plan said on Monday. You also lift the Educators around you. They watch how you handle a hard morning, they ask you first when they're stuck, and they get better for having you in the room. If that sounds like you, keep reading. Why great Educators matter to us Parents don't choose a centre for its playground. They choose it because of how they feel when they watch their child with an Educator. Everything we build here starts from that. So we're honest about it: our Educators are the reason families stay, and we invest properly in a small team of exceptional people. What that actually looks like day to day You won't be drowning in admin at 4pm. Our systems exist so you can spend your energy on the floor, with the children, which is where you actually wanted to spend it. You'll have a Centre Director and 2IC who back you, and a newly appointed Operations Manager who also directs our Banora Point centre. She's just taken that centre through Assessment and Rating, and while we're still waiting on the formal result, it was an extremely positive experience and everything we've built there is now flowing across to Nerang. There's always someone experienced beside you who has done it before, so you'll never be figuring it out on your own. Our owners are hands on and present. Decisions get made in hours, not weeks, and you'll actually see them and speak to them. And we protect the thing that matters most: a culture where our team still has something left in the tank at Term 4. The centre 62 places at 76 Yarrimbah Drive. Four beautiful rooms across Lilli Pilli, Acacia, Banksia and Waratah, plus Before and After School Care. We open at 6am, the earliest in Nerang, because our families are trades, hospitality and shift workers who need us there early and need us to do it beautifully. We're a family owned group of two centres, recently rebranded from The Learning Cottage Nerang to Cherubs Early Learning Centre Nerang. Same wonderful team, same children, more room to grow. We show up for our community We're a premium sponsor of the SkyPoint Sea to Sky Q1 Stair Challenge, raising money for LIVIN and their message that it ain't weak to speak. This year over 60 people from our Cherubs family were involved. Some climbed all 1,331 stairs, the rest were up the top cheering them in over morning tea on Level 78. Both centres, one shirt, everyone's legs hurting by level 50. Mental health touches every family, including ours, and early childhood is a sector where our people carry a lot, often quietly. Days like that one matter. The role You'll embed the way we educate, mentor the Educators beside you, shape the programming, and help us keep lifting what we do for the children in our care. Our focus right now is getting our approach really solid across the centre. As that beds down and opportunities open up, there's genuine scope to step into running a room. We'd rather be upfront about that from the start. Permanent part time Above award wages plus bonuses This centre receives the ECEC Worker Retention Payment, so that funded wage increase flows through to you Paid professional development Real career pathways across a growing two centre group What you'll need Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or working towards your ECT Experience leading a room and bringing other Educators along with you Strong programming and documentation, with a genuine grasp of the EYLF and NQS A calm, warm, grounded approach with children and families Current WWCC, First Aid, CPR and Child Protection training Full working rights in Australia How to apply Send your resume and a short note telling us why Cherubs Nerang sounds like your kind of centre to info@cherubselc.com.au , or apply via Seek.
