We’re seeking an experienced and visionary Centre Director to guide our vibrant, Reggio-inspired Centre of early learning into its next chapter from 2027. About Halifax Early Learning Situated in the southeast corner of the Adelaide CBD, Halifax Early Learning has provided early childhood education and care since 1910. We are a not-for-profit, community managed incorporated early childhood service. We provide a nurturing environment where our children, aged 6 weeks to school age, are seen as capable, curious learners, and educators are co-researchers in their journey. Our aim is to embrace the Reggio Emilia Approach , creating environments that spark wonder, foster relationships, and celebrate each child’s unique potential. The Centre enjoys a positive reputation amongst its current and past clients, the local community and within the education community. Role Purpose As Centre Director, you will: · Lead and inspire a dedicated team of educators. · Foster a warm, inclusive, and collaborative culture for children, families, and staff. · Ensure the delivery of high-quality, play-based, and inquiry-led programs. · Oversee daily operations, compliance, and continuous improvement. · Build strong connections with families and the wider community. What We’re Looking For · Degree in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent). · Proven leadership experience in an early learning setting. · Deep understanding of the Reggio Emilia Approach . · Strong communication, organisational, and mentoring skills. · A genuine passion for empowering children and educators alike.
