They are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, supporting accurate reporting, compliance, and working capital management across the organisation. Key Duties & Responsibilities Preparing and posting journal entries Balance sheet reconciliations Managing GST returns Preparing and filing FBT Cashflow forecasting Assisting with the annual audit process Supporting the preparation of monthly financial and management accounts Assisting with budgeting and board reporting requirements Supporting accounts receivable and payable functions Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, compliance and sound financial governance About You CA/CPA qualified but not essential, qualified by experience is just as valuable Proven experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a high-transaction-volume environment Strong working knowledge of GST and FBT, journal processing and month end close procedures Experience with cashflow forecasting Prior exposure to internal/external audit processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across a range of stakeholders Strong self-management skills and initiative Great technical ability across Excel and Xero You are a safe pair of hands that enjoys owning the accounting function.
