Permanent Station Hand / Property All-Rounder Cattle Breeding Property | Theodore, QLD | Permanent Position We’re looking for a reliable and capable Station Hand / Property All-Rounder to join our commercial cattle breeding operation on a 23,000-acre property, approximately 35km south-east of Theodore, Queensland. This is a permanent, long-term position and would suit a practical, multi-skilled person who can work independently, use their initiative and is happy to turn their hand to the day-to-day jobs that come with running a cattle property. Please note: This is a permanent role and is not suitable for applicants seeking 88-day specified work for visa purposes. About the Role The position covers a good mix of cattle work and general property maintenance, including: Cattle handling, yard work and mustering Fencing, repairs and general property maintenance Checking, monitoring and maintaining stock waters Confident operation of quad bikes, motorbikes and side-by-sides/buggies General station duties as required We’re looking for someone who is reliable, practical and self-motivated, with sound cattle sense and the ability to get on with a job without needing to be supervised every step of the way. Handy Skills to Have The following would be well regarded, but aren’t essential for the right person: Dozer, bobcat/skid steer and tractor experience Basic mechanical skills Welding and general fabrication skills Own working dogs MR licence If you’ve got a broader range of station, machinery, livestock or trade skills, we’d also be keen to hear about them.
