We are looking for an Accountant to join our Malaysia team. You will work closely with our Hong Kong and regional teams, support international client portfolios, and handle full set accounts using Excel, Xero, and other accounting tools. This role is suitable for someone with experience in an accounting practice, BPO, shared services, or outsourced accounting environment who is comfortable managing multiple client accounts and remaining hands-on with day-to-day accounting work. Work Arrangement The role requires on-site presence during the initial three-month period , subject to performance. Thereafter, a hybrid working arrangement (3-days WFH) is available. Office location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia Key Responsibilities Handle full set accounts for assigned client portfolios Prepare journal entries, general ledger, AR/AP, bank reconciliations and other accounting schedules Perform month-end and year-end closing Prepare balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and management reports Maintain accurate accounting records using Excel, Xero and other accounting software Prepare accounts and supporting schedules for audit and tax purposes Liaise with clients, auditors, tax agents and internal teams when required Manage multiple client accounts and ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines Support accounting process improvements and automation initiatives Review and guide junior team members where applicable Support other accounting and finance-related matters as required Requirements Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field Relevant hands-on accounting experience Experience in an accounting practice, BPO, shared services, or outsourced accounting environment is strongly preferred Able to handle full set accounts independently Strong proficiency in Excel , including preparing full sets of accounts Xero experience is an advantage.
