About the role You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating trucks, excavators, and skid steers/Bobcats across civil project sites, while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and complying with all company and site safety requirements. Key responsibilities Operating trucks, excavators, and skid steers/Bobcats across a range of civil construction projects Excavation, trenching, grading, loading, and lifting activities Carting materials to and from site Land clearing and general earthworks and site preparation Loading, moving and placing materials safely and efficiently Completing daily pre-start checks and basic preventative maintenance Cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining plant cleanliness and serviceability Working to construction programs to meet daily productivity targets Working safely around other plant, personnel and site activities Following project specifications, plans and supervisor instructions About you Demonstrated experience operating trucks, excavators, and skid steers/Bobcats Current MR Synchromesh Licence – S Current driver's licence and reliable transport Current White Card (Construction Induction) Demonstrated RII / VOC evidence preferred Ability to load and unload machinery from trucks and trailers Ability to read and interpret site plans and construction drawings Proven experience in civil construction Strong commitment to safety and quality Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Benefits Great rates of pay Home every night – local work Ongoing civil projects Stable employment with a growing local contractor Opportunities for ongoing work
