About the role We are looking for an experienced LPG Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role responsible for the servicing, inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of road tankers and associated fuel equipment. If you have strong mechanical skills, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service, we'd like to hear from you. The role is a full-time (40 hours per week) position based at our workshop in Hillsborough. About the role Reporting to the Service Foreman, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing LPG tankers, as well as fuel tankers and related equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key responsibilities Maintain, overhaul and repair components on new and existing vehicles. Maintain, overhaul and repair specialised components on new and existing LPG tankers. Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections. Diagnose, identify faults and carry out repairs as required, including hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems. Provide excellent customer service at all times so as to promote Lowes products and gain repeat business. Communicate with customers where needed to ensure the continued success of the department. Actively assist the team leader with improving processes and procedures to ensure improved productivity and efficiency in the department. Manage stock levels, reordering from Head Office as required. Manage job record keeping and liaise with Head Office for invoicing and collections. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. About you Minimum 5 years' relevant experience servicing LPG and/or dangerous goods vehicles. A clear alignment with the company values is essential in order to ensure that all team members feel valued and respected and are motivated to achieve the required outcomes. Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and pumping systems. Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement. A strong commitment to workplace health and safety. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Class 6 driver licence desirable. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrate through your own actions, a commitment to Health and Safety at work when undertaking work or observing others in the workplace. Why Join Lowes Industries?
