Contract Administrator Thornbury, Melbourne VIC | Full Time | Construction Administration About Us Samssons is a growing Melbourne-based construction company delivering high-quality building projects across the residential and commercial sectors. With a strong reputation for reliability, quality workmanship, and collaborative project delivery, we work closely with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to bring projects in on time and within budget. Due to continued growth across our project pipeline, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Contract Administrator to join our team. About the Role Reporting directly to the Director / Project Manager, the Contract Administrator will play a key role in supporting the financial and contractual management of construction projects from pre-contract through to completion. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a small, collaborative environment and enjoys working closely with site teams, consultants, and clients across both residential and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities · Prepare, review, and manage construction contracts, variations, and scopes of work · Administer subcontractor progress claims, payment schedules, and final accounts · Assess subcontractor and supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance · Prepare and issue subcontract agreements · Manage variations, extensions of time, and contractual correspondence · Assist with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers · Facilitate and manage the shop drawing process with subcontractors and consultants · Facilitate and manage RFIs from the site team and from subcontractors · Maintain accurate project records and documentation · Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, consultants, and clients · Ensure compliance with contract terms, company procedures, and relevant legislation About You · Proven experience as a Contract Administrator within the construction industry · Experience working across residential and/or commercial projects · Experience in a small to mid-sized building company preferred · Strong understanding of construction contracts · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Strong attention to detail and organisational skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with Procore highly regarded · Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Building, or a related discipline What We Offer · Collaborative, supportive team environment · Exposure to a diverse range of residential and commercial projects · Opportunity to grow with an expanding business · Competitive salary package commensurate with experience How to Apply If you are a proactive Contract Administrator looking to join a close-knit construction team, we'd love to hear from you.
