Join the team at Lowes Industries! We are looking for an experienced Fuel Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role responsible for the servicing, inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of road tankers and associated fuel equipment. If you have strong mechanical skills, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service, we'd like to hear from you. The role is a full-time (40 hours per week) position based at our workshop in Hillsborough. About the Role Reporting to the Fuel Service Foreman, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing fuel tankers and related equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities: Inspect, maintain, overhaul, and repair road tankers and associated equipment. Carry out preventative maintenance and compliance inspections. Diagnose and repair faults across hydraulic, pneumatic, and pumping systems. Deliver outstanding customer service and build strong relationships with clients. Assist with improving workshop processes and productivity. Accurately record time and attendance and work records each day. Manage workshop stock levels and collaborate with our inventory department. Ensure all work complies with company policies and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: At least 5 years' experience in a mechanical service or heavy vehicle maintenance environment. Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and pumping systems. Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement. A strong commitment to workplace health and safety. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience working on fuel tankers or specialised transport equipment is advantageous but not essential. Why Join Lowes Industries?
