Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and reliable Secondary Mathematics Substitute Teacher . You will deliver high-quality Mathematics instruction during planned and short-notice teacher absences, ensuring our secondary students maintain consistent academic progress. Key Responsibilities Deliver established Mathematics lesson plans across secondary year groups (Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, and Calculus concepts). Maintain an organized, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that fosters mathematical thinking. Assist students with problem-solving, group work, and independent study tasks following the regular teacher's curriculum guidelines. Ensure student safety, enforce school behavioral expectations, and complete assigned supervision duties. Leave detailed handover notes for the returning Mathematics teacher regarding curriculum coverage and student participation. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (PGDE / Teaching Qualification required). Registration: Registered Teacher or Permitted Teacher status in Hong Kong. Experience: Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the Secondary/High School level (IB, IGCSE, or international curriculum experience is an advantage). Language: Professional fluency in English (instructional language). Skills: Strong classroom management, adaptability, and the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly.
