Mechanical Fitters – 7-Day Major Shutdown | Bay of Plenty Kawerau, Bay of Plenty 7–14 September 2026 | Accommodation Provided | $40/hr + Time 1/2 after 8hrs We’re looking for trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters to join a major industrial shutdown in Kawerau this September . This is a short, intensive shutdown for experienced fitters who are comfortable working in heavy industrial environments and can hit the ground running. The work Mechanical maintenance and shutdown work Removal, repair and installation of mechanical equipment Pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors and associated equipment Equipment alignment and assembly Fault finding and mechanical repairs Working within a large industrial site and shutdown crew Following site permits, procedures and H&S requirements What we need Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting Proven mechanical fitting experience Heavy industrial, pulp & paper, manufacturing, processing or shutdown experience highly regarded Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets advantageous Current driver's licence and reliable transport Strong commitment to health and safety Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing Available for the full shutdown, 7–14 September What's on offer 7-day major industrial shutdown Competitive shutdown rates Long hours and strong earning potential Work alongside an experienced industrial crew Potential opportunities for future shutdown and project work Available 7–14 September and ready to get stuck in?
