At Southern Cross Horticulture our goal is to develop and manage the world's best Kiwifruit Orchards. To deliver on this, we rely on well-maintained fleet and machinery to keep our operations running smoothly. We are looking for a Fleet Service Technician to join our team, supporting our on-road and off-road vehicles that include utes, trailers, side-by-sides and tractors. This role will take on the day-to-day servicing, basic repairs and tyre work. At SCH we offer you a positive working environment where people come first. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out routine servicing and basic repairs on our on-road and off-road fleet Fixing flat tyres and completing tyre replacements Maintaining accurate maintenance records, service logs and H&S documentation Complying with H&S policies, including near-miss and hazard reporting and pre-start checks Keeping the workshop tidy, organised and well-stocked Supporting other aspects of our operation across the business as needed Who we're looking for: We are looking for someone with hands-on servicing experience and a genuine interest in keeping machinery and vehicles running well. Your background will ideally have: Experience in vehicle servicing (e.g. a dealership or service center or agriculture/horticulture machinery servicing) Confidence carrying out basic mechanical repairs and tyre work A proficient and safe approach to working with tools, vehicles and machinery Attention to detail and a strong sense of initiative where you can identify and problem solve A positive mindset Effective communication skills A valid Full New Zealand Driver License Southern Cross Horticulture is a family-owned business and one of New Zealand's most successful orchard developers.
