Senior QA Consultant (English Speaking)

SENIOR QA CONSULTANT Work Arrangement: 100% Remote / Work From Home Location: Thailand Experience: 5+ years in Software QA / Quality Engineering Language: English ABOUT SAINEXIS Sainexis is a software development and IT consulting company delivering software development, cloud engineering, and quality assurance services to clients in Thailand and internationally. We are looking for a Senior QA Consultant who can work independently, communicate confidently with international clients, and take ownership of QA activities from requirements through production release. This is a hands-on consulting role. You will not only execute test cases, but also help clients improve their QA processes, define testing strategies, identify risks, improve automation, and establish better quality practices. THE ROLE As a Senior QA Consultant, you will work closely with international clients, Product Owners, Developers, Project Managers, and QA teams. You will be responsible for: Defining and implementing QA strategies for client projects Planning and executing functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing Reviewing requirements and identifying gaps, risks, and edge cases before development Designing test scenarios, test cases, test plans, and test strategies Managing and prioritizing defects based on business impact and severity Working closely with developers to investigate and reproduce complex issues Establishing and improving QA processes and standards Providing QA reports and release-readiness recommendations to clients Mentoring and guiding junior and mid-level QA engineers Acting as a QA subject-matter expert for client projects KEY RESPONSIBILITIES QA STRATEGY & CONSULTING Define QA strategies based on project requirements, architecture, risks, and release objectives Assess existing QA processes and recommend improvements Establish appropriate testing approaches for web, mobile, backend, and API-based applications Perform risk-based testing and prioritize testing efforts based on business impact Define release criteria and quality gates Identify quality risks early in the software development lifecycle Provide professional QA recommendations to clients and internal teams TEST PLANNING & EXECUTION Create test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and end-to-end testing Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools Validate backend systems and databases using SQL Test across different browsers, devices, and environments Analyze test results and identify potential quality risks Ensure adequate test coverage before release DEFECT MANAGEMENT Identify, document, and track software defects Provide clear reproduction steps, evidence, logs, and expected vs. actual results Perform initial investigation and root-cause analysis Work closely with developers to resolve complex defects Monitor defect trends and recurring issues Communicate critical defects and release risks to stakeholders CLIENT COMMUNICATION Communicate directly with international clients in English Attend client meetings and QA discussions Explain technical QA issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Present test results, QA metrics, risks, and release recommendations Clarify requirements and acceptance criteria with Product Owners and Business Analysts Build trust and maintain strong client relationships QA LEADERSHIP & MENTORING Guide junior and mid-level QA engineers Review test cases and test plans Establish QA best practices within project teams Provide technical guidance on testing Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions Help improve the overall QA maturity of client teams REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of professional experience in Software QA / Software Testing Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC Strong experience in manual testing Strong experience in: Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, API Testing, End-to-End Testing, Exploratory Testing Experience with API testing tools such as Postman Experience with automation tools such as Playwright Experience with JIRA or similar defect/project management tools Understanding of Agile/Scrum development Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken NICE TO HAVE Experience with JMeter, k6, or other performance testing tools Experience with mobile application testing Experience with BrowserStack or similar cross-browser/device testing platforms Experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab Experience working with international clients Previous experience as a QA Lead, QA Consultant, or SDET Experience establishing QA processes for startups or growing software teams Experience with AI-assisted testing and modern QA tools WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for someone who is more than a test executor. The ideal candidate can take ownership of the complete QA process: "Give me the product, requirements, and current QA process. I can understand the risks, design the testing strategy, execute the testing, improve the process, and explain the quality status to the client." You should be comfortable challenging requirements, asking difficult questions, identifying risks early, and recommending better ways of testing and delivering software. You will communicate directly with international clients and engineering teams. Candidates should be able to: Lead QA discussions in English Explain defects and technical issues clearly Participate confidently in meetings Write professional test reports and documentation Discuss requirements and acceptance criteria Present QA risks and release recommendations This position is not suitable for candidates who are only comfortable communicating in English through written messages.
