Job Summary Managing employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Job Description Role Summary The Employee & Industrial Relations role is responsible for fostering a positive, compliant, and productive work environment by managing employee relations concerns, supporting labor compliance, and maintaining strong partnerships with employees, leaders, and regulatory bodies. This position ensures fair and consistent application of company policies, supports grievance handling, facilitates conflict resolution, and manages labor-related documentation and processes. The role also contributes to organizational stability by supporting negotiations, disciplinary procedures, and engagement initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Employee Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, inquiries, and workplace issues. Conduct investigations related to misconduct, grievances, and policy violations. Provide guidance to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and workplace expectations. Support conflict resolution through coaching, mediation, and structured interventions. Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations records. Industrial Relations Support compliance with labor laws, regulations, and standards set by DOLE and other regulatory bodies. Prepare documentation for labor cases, audits, and regulatory submissions. Assist in managing labor disputes, conciliation, and settlement processes. Support collective discussions, negotiations, and agreements when applicable. Monitor trends in employee issues to recommend proactive interventions. Policy & Compliance Ensure consistent implementation of company policies and disciplinary procedures. Review and update HR policies to align with legal requirements and best practices. Conduct policy orientations and compliance briefings for employees and leaders. Support internal audits and risk assessments related to HR and labor compliance. Engagement & Culture Support employee engagement initiatives and programs that promote a positive work environment. Analyze data from engagement surveys and recommend improvements. Partner with leaders to strengthen communication, morale, and workplace culture. Documentation & Reporting Prepare reports on employee relations trends, case summaries, and compliance status. Maintain updated records of disciplinary actions, settlements, and labor cases. Track and report key metrics related to employee and industrial relations. QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field. Experience 2–5 years of experience in employee relations, industrial relations, or HR operations. Preferably with law units Experience handling investigations, grievances, or labor compliance is an advantage. Technical Skills Knowledge of labor laws, DOLE processes, and regulatory requirements. Strong documentation and case-management skills. Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications. Core Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills Conflict resolution and mediation Analytical and problem-solving ability High level of discretion and confidentiality Sound judgment and decision-making Ability to manage sensitive and complex situations KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) Timeliness and accuracy of case handling Compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements Quality of documentation and reporting Reduction in employee relations issues or repeat cases Stakeholder satisfaction (employees and leaders) Successful facilitation of settlements, resolutions, and interventions Work schedule: AM (8AM to 5PM) or MID (1PM to 10PM) (3x office 2WFH) Office Location: Alabang / Eastwood
