What's on offer: Up to $46 per hour for the right candidate All tooling and PPE gear provided Free health insurance plus other great staff benefits We are an essential industry, there is always work available 4 on, 4 off PM roster that offers flexibility About the Role We’re seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a wide range of heavy off‑road machinery, including loaders, material handlers, terminal tractors and forklifts. As a 24/7 operation, we rely on our mechanical team to keep our stevedoring and logistics equipment running around the clock. Location: Tauranga Port Status: Up to $46.00 p/h Full-time, 4 on, 4 off working PM 1600-0400 hours Specific Responsibilities: Replacing / repairing machinery components Servicing machinery Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in a variety of heavy loaders, excavators, forklifts & trucks Repairs to attachments, grapples & log heads Who we're after: NZQA Automotive Heavy Engineering Level 4 qualification (or overseas equivalent) required Proven experience working on heavy vehicles and machinery Solid understanding of hydraulic systems Able to work independently and as part of a small team Bring a positive, can-do attitude to the role About us Qube Ports NZ is a nationwide service provider offering a comprehensive range of cargo logistics, stevedoring, marshalling, transportation, warehousing services, and IT solutions.
