Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Project Development Manager/Bid Lead to support pre-contract and tendering activities within our Engineering Construction (EC) division. Working across a diverse portfolio of SMP, E&I, Civil and multidisciplinary construction projects, you will lead the development of competitive, high-quality tenders that position Monadelphous for successful project delivery. Partnering closely with operational leaders, engineering, estimating, commercial and executive stakeholders, you will drive bid strategy, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and oversee the end-to-end tender process. This role requires a commercially focused and outcomes-driven leader who can balance technical, operational and commercial requirements to deliver winning submissions across major resources, energy, renewables and infrastructure projects. When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
