Key Responsibilities: Prepare and file timely and accurate corporate income tax, indirect tax (SST), and other statutory returns. Ensure full compliance with all tax regulations set by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM). Manage tax payments, estimates, and provisions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries from the IRBM. Perform tax accounting activities, including preparing tax disclosures for financial statements. Conduct research on complex tax issues and monitor changes in Malaysian tax legislation. Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors as necessary. Assist in tax planning and strategy to optimize the company's tax efficiency. Support the finance team with general accounting and month-end closing activities as required. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in corporate tax, preferably within a Malaysian corporate environment or an accounting firm. Proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin Chinese is mandatory to facilitate communication with the regional headquarters and other stakeholders. Strong understanding of Malaysian tax legislation (Income Tax Act, SST Act). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Preferred: Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA Australia, or CTIM is a strong advantage. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
