About the role The Lead Educator is responsible for providing high-quality care, education and support to children. The Lead Educator leads the room team, plans and delivers the learning program, builds positive relationships with families and ensures children are safe, happy and supported. Key responsibilities Provide a safe, caring and welcoming environment for children. Build strong and respectful relationships with children and families. Plan and implement an engaging learning program based on children's interests and needs. Observe and document children's learning and development. Support children's learning through play and everyday experiences. Lead and support educators within the room. Allocate daily tasks and work as a positive team member. Maintain appropriate supervision of children at all times. Follow centre policies, procedures and health and safety requirements. Communicate with families about their child's learning, development and wellbeing. About you Diploma of Early Childhood Education and care. Current Working with Children Check. Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates. Good understanding of the EYLF. Good knowledge of child development and play-based learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lead and support other educators. Commitment to children's safety, wellbeing and learning.
