Coordinator Position at Aldavilla OOSH/Vacation Care Kempsey Family Day Care Inc, is a Child Safe Organisation Our Aldavilla OOSH service has a permanent part-time position available for an Out of School Hours Care Coordinator. This position will require the applicant to be the Responsible Person in Day to Day Charge at our OOSH/Vacation Care service. Why choose us? What we're looking for in our team: Diploma Children's Services or working towards this qualification is highly desirable. Required - minimum ACECQA approved Certificate III Children's Services or Certificate IV OOSH Services. Hold a NSW Working With Children Check (Employee) Hold First Aid in an Education and Care Setting & CPR - HLTAID012 Hold Child Protection Training - CHCPRT025 - Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk Hold or be willing to obtain National Police Check (within the last 6 months) Successful completion of Compulsory National Child Safety Training Minimum 2 years experience working in education & care services & working in a team environment. Minimum 2 years experience in the role as a Responsible Person in education & care services and a strong understanding of this responsibility. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Being responsible for the day to day operations of the OOSH service. Be available to work mornings, afternoons & during Vacation Care (school holidays) Lead and proactively engage with team members and support a healthy environment. Respect, build and maintain positive relationships with the children and their families. Consistant & effective communication with families and the Aldavilla School Leadership Team. Work within the MTOP Framework, Service Policies & Procedures, National Quality Standards and National Regulations. Actively supervise and effectively communicate with the children. Respond to the strengths, interests, and needs of the children. Engage and guide children in responsive learning activities. Support an inclusive environment and the individual wellbeing needs of the children. Guide children towards a sense of being and belonging within the service. Recording of the observations of children’s learning and development. Engage in critical reflections and provide input into future programming. Actively review & maintain Risk Assessments, the services Self Assessment (QIP) & Strategic Inclusion Plan Plan vacation care programs, organise excursions & staff rosters. Successful applicants will be provided with an Employee Handbook prior to signing a contract of employment, followed by essential online training and mentoring by an experienced team member. Our team members work in a minimum team of two educators at all times. New employees are subject to a probation period and will be reviewed by the Manager/Nominated Supervisor & the Approved Provider. Our days of operation are- Monday to Friday during school term, Before School (7-9am) and After School Care (2:30-6pm) Monday to Friday during Vacation Care & Staff Development Days (8am-6pm) Minimum 31.5 hrs week, which includes paid non-contact programming & planning time + split shift allowance. (As per Children's Services Award [MA000120]) Up to 38 hrs week during Vacation Care Hourly rate will vary based on experience and certifications between $38.18-$39 per hour.
