Squad is a quality Group Training Organisation and part of The BUSY Group, one of Australia’s largest providers in employment, education and training. We deliver innovative employment and training solutions across eastern Australia, helping organisations and apprentices thrive. Squad Employment, Training & HR is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Field Officer to join our Wodonga team. The Field Officer is responsible for the successful onboarding and ongoing management of apprentices and trainees. This includes maintaining strong relationships with host employers, mentoring employees, monitoring training progress, and ensuring compliance with all contractual, legal and WHS requirements. The Field Officer also engages with schools and community groups to support youth employability, promote career pathways, and build a pipeline of future candidates. Key responsibilities Build and maintain strong host employer relationships across multiple industries Identify and secure new business and placement opportunities Promote Squad services and achieve placement and growth targets Conduct regular mentoring, performance reviews, and site visits Support apprentices and trainees throughout their employment and training journey Monitor wellbeing, workplace performance, and training progression Ensure compliance with employment, safety, and training requirements Provide high-quality service to hosts, apprentices, and stakeholders About you Strong relationship-building and business development skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability Friendly, professional, and confident in networking environments Ability to mentor and support younger workers with patience and emotional intelligence Strong organisational and time-management skills Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously Current Working with Children Check General Construction Induction (White Card) desirable Experience in apprenticeships, traineeships, VET or workforce development is highly regarded but not essential.
