COOK/KITCHEN HAND

About the role You will create nutritious meals using our rotational menus for the wonderful children in our care. This role requires 1-2 years of cooking experience. Key responsibilities Prepare morning tea, lunch, and afternoon snacks based on rotational menu Cater to dietary restrictions, allergies, and cultural preferences of children Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment by following food safety, storage and hygiene practices Collaborate with Service Manager to create a positive dining experience for children Manage inventory and order food supplies within budget guidelines Engage positively with children and staff on a daily basis About you Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) Experience cooking in children's services or a similar setting is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of dietary needs and allergies as they relate to children (risk management) Willing to undertake first aid training, including CPR, asthma, and anaphylaxis training Reliable, team-orientated attitude, and able to work independently Australian work rights are required for this position Child Safe Mandatory Gekko Training (or willingness to obtain) About us Seeds Early Learning Centre in Shailer Park is a welcoming and inclusive childcare centre dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education.
