Childcare - National Operations Manager

About the role Lead a team of area managers and act as the technical sign-off on compliance and operational advice going out to clients. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who genuinely understands the early childhood education and care sector and knows how to run a professional team that delivers, every time. Key responsibilities Lead delivery of consulting engagements, making sure work is completed on time, to a high professional standard, and properly closed out Manage team workload and capacity Own quality assurance and technical review of compliance and operational advice, including senior sign-off on high-risk or material matters Support a rolling program of service visits and compliance reviews across our client portfolio Set up new services and support new Providers and Service teams as they come on board Lead, coach and develop a team of area managers, including regular performance conversations Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout each engagement About you Significant experience leading service delivery in professional services, consulting, or a multi-site regulated environment A strong track record managing team capacity while developing capability Experience leading and developing a team of experienced professionals Excellent, genuinely deep working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations Ability to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check in Queensland and other jurisdictions, and to pass a national police history check Direct experience in the Australian early childhood education and care sector, ideally in service leadership Experience within an approved provider or multi-site operator Systems & tech-savvy mindset About us We're a fast-growing early childhood education and care consultancy working alongside services right across Australia — lifting quality, strengthening compliance, and helping children and educators thrive.
