Within this, the Organisational Transformation function ensures our people, systems, and processes evolve together as we deliver our strategy. It brings together multidisciplinary teams to design and roll out new policies, practices, and digital tool, and to support leaders and teams to adopt new ways of working. Te tūnga | The role As Lead Strategic Business Analyst, you'll sit at the intersection of strategy, transformation and decision-making. Working with senior leaders across Maritime New Zealand, you'll help define complex problems, shape future-state solutions, and provide the insight needed to guide investment and organisational change that delivers lasting impact. You'll work across a broad range of organisational priorities, bringing structure and clarity to complex issues, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping shape the investment and transformation decisions that will influence our future. In this role you’ll be engaging with executives, senior leaders and subject matter experts to understand challenges, explore options and develop a clear view of what success looks like. From there, you'll help create the strategic pathways, operating models and investment approaches needed to make change happen. This is a rare opportunity to operate at an enterprise level, partnering with senior leaders to understand what needs to change, why it matters, and how to turn strategic ambition into practical, achievable outcomes. Nōu te rourou | What you bring You may currently be working in strategic business analysis, organisational transformation, operating model design, consulting, business architecture, enterprise change or a similar field. Whatever your background, you'll bring a proven ability to connect strategy with execution and help leaders make confident decisions. You'll bring: Experience working on complex organisational or enterprise-wide change initiatives Strong analytical and strategic thinking capability The ability to identify patterns, connections and opportunities across large systems Experience influencing senior stakeholders and supporting decision-making Excellent facilitation and engagement skills Confidence navigating ambiguity and competing priorities Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality strategic advice A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse teams Experience within the public sector, transformation programmes, operating model design, business case development or enterprise planning environments would be advantageous Mōu | For you Maritime NZ recognises and respects te Tiriti o Waitangi and we are committed to working with Māori to build strong, meaningful and enduring relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
