About the role This role is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, payments and receipts. You will support daily accounting operations, assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports, perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow and outstanding balances, and ensure finance-related activities are carried out accurately and in a timely manner. Key Accountabilities: Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, payments and receipts. Prepare and process daily accounting transactions and ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records. Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports and relevant schedules. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow and outstanding balances. Monitor accounts receivable and payable, including following up on outstanding payments and invoices, and issuing reminder letters where required. Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, as well as manage and process petty cash payments. Ensure timely preparation and submission of payments, claims and other finance-related documents. Liaise with internal departments, vendors, clients, auditors and relevant external parties on finance-related matters. Assist with audit, tax and statutory requirements and provide supporting documents when required. Ensure financial transactions comply with company policies, accounting standards and applicable statutory requirements. Identify discrepancies and assist in resolving accounting and financial issues. Support other finance and accounting duties or ad-hoc projects assigned by management. Key Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance. Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds may also be considered. Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an added advantage. Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Self-disciplined, responsible and organized, with the ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines. Maintain a high level of confidentiality, integrity and discretion, exercising sound judgment and professionalism when handling sensitive financial, payment and company information. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with internal departments and external parties. Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as required.
