Accounts Assistant

About the role We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team at S.E.S Construction Sdn. Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah . In this role, you will provide essential support to our accounting department, assisting with the day-to-day financial operations of our construction business. This position is crucial in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the smooth functioning of our finance operations. What you'll be doing Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, receipts and payment vouchers Maintaining accurate and organised financial records and documentation Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Preparing bank reconciliations and assisting with cash management activities Supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports Data entry and maintenance of accounting systems and databases Assisting with payroll administration and related tax documentation Performing general administrative duties to support the finance department Coordinating with other departments to resolve financial and billing enquiries Supporting the senior accounting staff with ad-hoc projects and duties as required What we're looking for Qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline (SPM, Diploma or Degree level) Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Experience with accounting software and systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills, both written and verbal Reliability, integrity and a professional approach to work Familiarity with construction industry accounting practices (preferred) Apply now If you meet the above requirements and are interested in joining our team, we welcome your application.
