Our customers are the heart of what we do, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Christchurch team on a 12-month fixed term contract providing parental leave cover. About the Role As a successful Customer Service Representative, you'll be part of our talented team, delivering outstanding service and support to both internal and external stakeholders. Your day-to-day will involve handling inbound calls from Laminex’s Christchurch and wider South Island customer base, providing accurate information on products and services, and assisting with a variety of enquiries. You'll also support regional sales branches, contribute to cross-selling efforts, and offer phone-based sales support to our Sales Representatives. Accuracy is key, as you'll be responsible for processing orders and credits efficiently and correctly. This position plays a pivotal part in our organisation and as such you will need to: Demonstrate excellent communication skills and thrive in providing a customer service experience that is second to none. Your ability to confidently liaise with customers over phone, email and face to face with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when entering data onto the system. Ability to pick up, grasp and understand technical information, as you will be dealing with a wide range of questions relating to variety of product offerings. Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a: Strong team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. At least 2+ previous years of experience in a customer service/sales support role or operational/logistics role preferably within the building materials industry Confident engaging with people both over the phone and in person, with the ability to influence and build strong rapport. Computer savvy with previous experience with Salesforce advantageous.
