Production Chef

Production Chef We are looking for an experienced and reliable Production Chef to join our busy kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, takes pride in quality and consistency, and can work efficiently as part of a team. What You’ll Be Doing Preparing and producing high-quality meals and food products in line with recipes and production schedules Following standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation requirements Preparing ingredients, cooking, assembling, and packaging food products Ensuring food is produced consistently and to a high standard Monitoring food quality, freshness, and presentation throughout production Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures Completing temperature checks, labelling, and other required food safety documentation Managing production timeframes and meeting daily output targets Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen and production area Assisting with stock rotation, storage, and general kitchen duties Working closely with the wider kitchen and production team to ensure smooth operations What We’re Looking For Previous experience as a Chef, Production Chef, or in a commercial kitchen environment Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistency Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Good organisational and time-management skills Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Relevant culinary qualifications are advantageous but not essential Food safety certification or knowledge of New Zealand food safety requirements is preferred What We Offer Supportive and team-focused workplace Competitive rates based on experience If you’re a passionate and reliable chef who enjoys producing quality food at scale, we’d love to hear from you.
