Finance Manager | Growing Education Group

Role Overview We are partnering with a growing education group to look for a Finance Manager. You will lead the Group’s finance function and strengthen financial reporting, controls, governance, and business performance as the company prepares for an IPO. This is a hands-on leadership role working closely with senior management, auditors, tax advisers, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting. Prepare and review full sets of accounts and consolidated financial statements in accordance with MFRS . Ensure consistent accounting policies and practices across the Group. Review key accounting matters and ensure accurate financial reporting. IPO Readiness & Internal Controls Support the Group’s IPO preparation with management, auditors, advisers, and other professional parties. Strengthen finance policies, SOPs, approval processes, reconciliations, and internal controls. Identify control gaps and drive improvements to ensure the finance function is IPO-ready. Support IPO due diligence, financial information preparation, and audit requirements. Budgeting & Business Performance Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and scenario analysis. Prepare monthly management reports and analyse financial performance, margins, costs, cash flow, and variances. Develop and monitor financial KPIs. Partner with management to evaluate business performance, expansion plans, and new initiatives. Finance Operations & Treasury Oversee AR, AP, GL, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, collections, payments, and bank reconciliations. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury activities. Ensure timely tax, SST, statutory, and other financial compliance. Coordinate external audits and ensure audit issues are resolved. Systems & Process Improvement Improve finance processes through standardisation and automation. Strengthen financial systems, reporting, dashboards, and data accuracy. Lead finance system and process improvement projects. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop the finance team. Ensure high standards of accuracy, accountability, and timely delivery. Communicate financial results clearly to senior management and non-finance stakeholders. Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, bankers, and other professional partners. Requirements Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, MIA) is an advantage. Strong experience in financial reporting, consolidation, MFRS, budgeting, and internal controls. Experience in IPO readiness, audit, due diligence, or listed-company environment is highly preferred. Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Hands-on, commercially minded, and comfortable working in a growing organisation.
