We’re now expanding our team in New South Wales and are looking for an experienced, driven Project Manager to help establish and grow our Sydney presence. This role will initially be based from home, with the opportunity to play a key part in establishing a future NSW office and local team. ABOUT THE ROLE This is more than a traditional Project Manager position it’s an opportunity to help build our NSW operation from the ground up. You will take ownership of commercial fit-out projects across Sydney and wider New South Wales, managing each project from initial handover through to completion. You’ll coordinate clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the high standard TwentyThree Projects is known for. Working closely with our Victorian and Queensland teams, you’ll also help develop our local supplier and subcontractor network, strengthen client relationships, and support the establishment of our NSW business presence. The right person will be comfortable working independently, making decisions and creating structure, while remaining closely connected to a supportive national team. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Managing commercial, retail and event fit-out projects from handover through to practical completion Developing project programs, budgets and procurement schedules Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal teams Maintaining regular communication with clients and providing clear project updates Conducting site visits and overseeing project progress, quality and safety Identifying and resolving project risks, delays and delivery challenges Managing project documentation, variations, cost reporting and close-out requirements Ensuring projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, WHS requirements and company standards Building a reliable network of NSW-based subcontractors, suppliers and industry contacts Supporting the establishment of systems, processes and operations for our NSW entity Helping identify future staffing requirements and contributing to the development of a local team Representing TwentyThree Projects professionally and helping grow our reputation across the NSW market Communicating regularly with senior management regarding project performance, opportunities and challenges WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Proven experience managing commercial, retail or hospitality fit-out projects Strong knowledge of construction processes, trades, materials and project delivery Demonstrated ability to manage projects from commencement through to completion Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong commercial awareness, including experience with budgets, procurement, variations and cost control A sound understanding of WHS requirements and construction regulations Confident communication and stakeholder-management skills The ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to work autonomously Strong computer skills and experience with relevant project-management software An established network within the Sydney construction or fit-out industry would be highly regarded A relevant qualification in construction management, project management, building or a related field is desirable A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle The flexibility to travel to project sites across Sydney and regional NSW as required TEAM & BENEFITS This is a permanent, full-time role offering the chance to make a genuine impact on the next stage of our growth.
