The Company: T.W. Pearson and Son is a family owned agricultural company which along with its other company arms, specialises in producing high quality angus and Wagyu beef. The company operates feedlots, farms and export quarantine facilities throughout Western Australia. The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate couple or individual with a passion for cattle and wanting to grow their skills in intensive livestock production, and live export operations. Positions are available across multiple locations, Esperance, Myalup & Badgingarra WA. General Duties may include (not limited to) Feeding and General Farm Role: Daily livestock checks, including recording daily check sheets and identifying any health issues. Feeding cattle in the feedlot and on farm, checking waters, cleaning troughs and general farm maintenance and jobs. Protocoling livestock, unloading & loading cattle, vaccinating, drafting and all general livestock handling applicable to a feedlot and export depot. Marking, joining, weaning, mustering, drafting, preg-testing, and calving support applicable to our breeding station. Operating machinery, fixing broken infrastructure in a timely manner (fences, gates, rails) Admin Role: Reconciliation of livestock movements weekly, sending a movement report to the executive team. Providing livestock with treatments, vaccinations, protocols, drafting cattle, loading and unloading. Recording of livestock treatments, NLIS transfers, inductions, protocols and other records pertaining to compliance requirements for LPA, NFAS and quarantine. Keeping the livestock records up to date. Ensuring documentation is filed correctly, including both paper and electronic documents. Upkeep of the herd database, with an aim of continuously improving the integrity of the data. About You: Strong work ethic with a high attention to detail Previous cattle experience is essential. Effective communicator with an ability to plan and prioritise Self starter that is able to work alone and as part of a team Willingness to learn and interested in professional growth and development Passion for livestock and the agricultural industry. Remuneration package in line with experience and includes onsite accommodation and amenities in private house.
