Forklift Mechanic | Field Service We’re working with a well-established nationwide company that’s continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Forklift Mechanic to join their team. This is a hands-on field service role where you’ll work across a range of forklifts and material-handling equipment, carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics. You’ll be dealing directly with customers, so no two days will be exactly the same. About the role You’ll be responsible for keeping customers’ equipment running reliably and minimising downtime. This will include: Servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of forklifts and associated equipment Carrying out mechanical and electrical fault-finding and diagnostics Using diagnostic software to identify and resolve faults Attending breakdowns and responding to customer service requirements Completing inspections and preventative maintenance Working alongside other technicians and supporting the wider team when required Maintaining high health & safety standards and representing the company professionally on customer sites There may also be some on-call and after-hours work from time to time, so a flexible approach is important. What we’re looking for Previous experience working on forklifts or similar heavy equipment Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic ability Good electrical/diagnostic skills would be an advantage Confident dealing directly with customers A current forklift licence Full NZ driver licence A reliable, practical and team-focused attitude A willingness to keep learning and develop your technical skills Full training and ongoing support will be provided , so if you have solid mechanical experience and are keen to build your knowledge within the forklift industry, we’d still like to hear from you.
