Safety Officer

The Role We are looking for a registered Professional Safety Officer (จป.วิชาชีพ) to own our Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHSE) management system across the whole site. You will report directly to the General Manager, serve as secretary of the Safety Committee (คปอ.), and work with Group Safety in Australia. Key Responsibilities • Act as the company's registered Professional Safety Officer (จป.วิชาชีพ) under the Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Act B.E. 2554 and related Ministerial Regulations • Develop and maintain the OHSE management system; conduct HIRARC risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) across all production processes • Serve as secretary of the Safety Committee (คปอ.); organise monthly meetings and maintain minutes as required by law • Prepare and submit all statutory reports to DLPW, DIW, and the Social Security Office on time • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and occupational injuries; lead Root Cause Analysis and corrective/preventive actions • Maintain the fire prevention and suppression plan; run annual fire and evacuation drills; keep the Emergency Response Plan current • Own ISO 14001 environmental compliance — aspects & impacts register, legal register, chemical and hazardous waste control per DIW requirements • Deliver mandatory safety training (new hires, supervisors, management, contractors) and daily Toolbox Talks • Manage the PPE matrix, procurement, and usage inspection across welding, sheet metal, CNC, painting, and assembly areas • Administer contractor safety induction and the Permit-to-Work system (Hot Work, Confined Space, Working at Height, Electrical Work) • Report monthly safety KPIs (LTIFR, TRIFR, near-miss) to site management and Group Safety (Australia) Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, as required by the Ministerial Regulation on Safety Officers B.E. 2565 • Registered Professional Safety Officer (จป.วิชาชีพ) with the Department of Labour Protection & Welfare • Minimum 5 years' experience as a จป.วิชาชีพ in a manufacturing environment • Strong knowledge of Thai OHSE law and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 standards • Good command of written and spoken English (regular reporting to the Australian parent company) • Proficient in MS Office / Excel Nice to Have • ISO 45001:2018 or ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor certification • Advanced firefighting / fire prevention certification • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, or welding environments What We Offer • Provident fund (7% employer contribution) • Group health insurance (IPD + OPD) and annual health check • Transport, meal, and utility allowances • Performance-based (KPI) bonus • Uniform provided • Social security and workmen's compensation per Thai law • Monday–Friday, 07:45–16:25 (5-day work week) • Permanent, full-time position — target start 1 August 2026 or as available Location: Pluak Daeng, Rayong (Eastern Economic Corridor)
