About the role We are seeking an experienced Operator to join our team at our Mudgee, NSW facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant and machinery used in the extraction and processing of dolomite and lime. As an Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining productivity whilst adhering to strict safety and environmental standards. This role is essential to our operational success and offers the opportunity to work with modern equipment in a well-established industrial environment. Key responsibilities Operate and monitor plant and machinery in accordance with operational procedures and safety guidelines Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation Monitor production processes and adjust equipment settings to maintain quality standards and production targets Respond promptly to equipment faults or anomalies and report issues to supervisors or maintenance teams Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment performance and daily operations Comply with all health, safety and environmental regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment Work collaboratively with team members to support operational objectives and maintain a safe workplace Participate in toolbox meetings and safety briefings as required What we're looking for Proven experience operating heavy plant and machinery in a construction, quarrying or mining environment Solid understanding of health and safety requirements relevant to plant operations and construction sites High School Certificate or equivalent qualification A valid driver's licence and willingness to obtain relevant operational certifications (such as Dozer or Excavator tickets) where required Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment faults or maintenance needs Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions and work independently Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding situations Preferred: Experience in lime or dolomite processing, or similar industrial operations What we offer Competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications Full-time permanent employment providing job security and stability Opportunities for professional development and skills advancement through on-site training A supportive and collaborative workplace culture that values health, safety and wellbeing Access to modern equipment and facilities at our Mudgee site A team environment where your contributions are recognised and valued Apply now If you meet the above criteria and are ready to take on this exciting opportunity with Mudgee Dolomite & Lime, we would like to hear from you.
