About Us At Connetics, we design, build, and maintain electrical infrastructure across Aotearoa, supporting communities and helping keep the network running safely and reliably. About the Role We're looking for a Cable Jointer to join our Wellington team, based in Tawa. In this role, you'll carry out cable jointing and terminating work across electrical distribution networks, supporting both planned works and fault response activities. You'll work on a variety of network assets and play a key role in helping keep the network connected and operational. You'll be involved in: Carrying out cable jointing and terminating work across 400V to 33kV networks Undertaking live jointing work where required Supporting planned maintenance, construction, and fault response activities Liaising with customers, contractors, and operational teams to coordinate outages and project delivery Completing documentation and ensuring work is delivered safely and to the required standards About You You'll thrive in this role if you have: Electrical registration with a Cable Jointer limitation and a current practising licence Experience working across electrical distribution networks and cable systems Experience with paper insulated and polymeric cables up to 11kV and polymeric cables up to 33kV Ability to read and interpret utility plans and technical documentation Strong safety focus, communication skills, and a collaborative approach to work What's on Offer $39.19-$45.43/hr + overtime + allowances Work on critical electrical infrastructure projects across the Wellington region Training, development, and long-term career opportunities within Connetics Health and wellbeing perks including free confidential counselling, annual flu vaccines, mole checks, and biennial mini-medicals Apply If you're looking for your next challenge and want to be part of a team that helps power our communities, we'd love to hear from you.
