Job Summary: The School Counsellor at PBISS plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive counselling and support services to students, nurturing their emotional well-being, academic success, and personal growth. As a dedicated professional, you will work collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, and administration to create a nurturing and inclusive school environment. Your role involves delivering counselling services tailored to the unique requirements of our international student population. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to address students' emotional, social, and academic concerns. 2. Offer guidance on course selection, academic planning, and career development to promote college and career readiness. 3. Assist students in navigating the college application process, including test preparation, essay writing, and interview coaching. 4. Develop and implement programmes and workshops addressing the diverse needs of our international student body, including cultural adaptation, stress management, and interpersonal relationships. 5. Assess and support students with special educational needs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accommodations. 6. Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify and address students' academic and behavioural challenges. 7. Promote conflict resolution and mediation strategies to foster a harmonious and inclusive school community. 8. Provide crisis intervention and support in cases of emergency or student well-being concerns. 9. Maintain accurate and confidential student records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. 10. Collaborate with parents and guardians to establish effective communication and partnership in supporting students' development. 11. Foster community outreach and partnerships, promoting a positive school environment within the local and international communities. 12. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with best practices and counselling methodologies. 13. Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies related to student well-being and counselling services. OTHER: 14. To comply with, adhere to, and actively support school policies and procedures. 15. To carry out any other duties that are commensurate with the role and as instructed by PBISS management. 16. To adhere to the PBISS’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and to perform any school wide designated duties with regard to Health and Safety and the security of the school. 17. Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organisation. This job description serves as a guide to the general duties of the role and may be reviewed on an ongoing basis. Qualifications: ● Fluent in both Thai and English, additional languages are appreciated. ● Degree / Experience in School Counselling, Counselling Psychology, or a related field. ● Certification as a School Counsellor or equivalent professional credentials. ● Proven experience in a school counselling role, preferably in an international school environment. ● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse students and families. ● A strong understanding of cultural sensitivity and the unique needs of international students. ● Knowledge of best practices in counselling, career development, and academic guidance. ● Proficiency in counselling software and data management tools. ● Strong ethical and confidentiality principles.
